We have had a good week and it has gone by super quick. The highlights are the following…
Wednesday. We had a super super good mission leadership training. I loved it and it was exactly what I needed as always. I got to see tons of friends from the mish because all of the District Leaders came from the whole mission too!! It was awesome. I loved every moment. I’m thankful for inspired leaders who receive revelation for each one of us. I always want to be a better missionary after these conferences.
The other highlight is that we had an investigator in church!!! In TEO!!! It was a real live miracle. She told us she wasn’t going to be able to go because she had to work. We buckled in and taught the Sabbath Day and what do you know…. the next day she walked in to church. It really was such a good feeling and an answer to several prayers. She is awesome. Keep praying for Sarah!! She needs it.
It’s been awesome to have all of these light the world cards to hand out. They have the Virgin Mary on them and the Catholics seems to respond a little better to seeing a familiar face…. would you believe me if I told you they don’t recognize Jesus sometimes… haha but it’s so good to light the world. That really is what this whole time of year really is about. Jesus Christ, the Light of the World.
This week is going to be nuts. We are only going to be in our area for one day.. We are going to be all over the place. We have divisions with the assistants and we have district class and we have other divisions and just a lot of little things we have to do to get ready for the Christmas party. It’s all good though. We are doing great and hoping for great things from the members to help us while we are gone.
I just want to testify to everyone who reads this letter that Jesus Christ lives. I know it and I’m thankful for it. I know that Joseph Smith started the restoration of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know that everyone can know it. If we pray and ask God he will testify to us through the Holy Spirit that it is true. It is such a blessing to know that there is a restored church. That we have the fullness of the gospel and that we know what we need to do to have blessings in this life and an eternal family in the life to come. I love this gospel. I love how difficult this mission can be because without the trials we cant grow. We cant learn. I love it.
Have a dazzling week.
This has been a great week. We had our first official week in Teo and it was good. We saw some serious miracles and found a seriously prepared investigator. I pray every single night that we will be able to baptize in this little town. It’s been a long time since that happened… I know it can happen.
This week in church we had 11 there! it was awesome because I got to share like an 11 minute testimony to try and take up some time. The spirit was there and it was a great meeting. It doesn’t matter where we are. It doesn’t matter how many people are there. This is the true church of Jesus Christ and the spirit will always be there to testify of the truth. I love it.
I loved the Christmas devotional…. It was fantastic. I loved the messages. I loved the talk by Dieter F Uchtdorf. I learned a lot. It’s really important that we really love the people and not just say that we do. There is a lot to be learned and a lot to change everyday to be able to really show the love of Christ to all of the people. I need to be better!!
This week we will have a Leadership training in Guadalajara with all of the leaders from the whole mission. Zone Leaders, District Leaders and Sister Training Leaders. I’m really excited to see a lot of friends and to learn from great and inspired leaders.
This month is going to be full of activities. I love Christmas time. I love it. I love all of the activities we have planned and we are excited to work all the time that we have. The only hard thing is that we aren’t going to have the time we normally would in our areas due to all of the crazy activities.
I think the highlight of the week has been the 5 new missionaries in our zone. They all come from different places and it is so so cool to see them all in a new world. They all speak different types of Spanish and they all have great desires. I think the best thing I have been able to realize is how much I have changed personally. I remember some of the things I thought or said or felt at the beginning of my mission and I see where I am now and I am not the same person. It has been funny to watch a lot of this young missionaries arrive full of desires to work but also not wanting to change or do the hard things. I realize that I was probably the same way but the mission really does just break you down and mold you into who the Lord needs you to be. What a blessing it is to be able to share the restored gospel on a daily basis. I hope that we can do that always through our example if not our words… both of those things would be best haha. I love you all and hope you have a great week.
